BODY & FENDER REPAIRS

A bent fender can affect more than the way your car looks. Fleury's assesses damaged body panels at both shops, explains the repair choices and checks how the affected area fits with neighboring parts.

Talk with your shop
Technician sanding/preparing detached body panel near bay entrance.
Small details. Hands-on care.

Start with the affected panel

A parking impact may leave a shallow crease, while a collision can fold a fender edge or disturb several panels. Tell us where the impact occurred and whether anything now rubs, catches or opens differently.

The visible dent helps us begin, but its size alone does not decide the repair. We also consider the panel material, damage location, prior repairs and whether nearby attachments or adjoining parts need closer inspection.

Understand repair and replacement choices

Some damaged panels can be repaired; others may need replacement because of their condition or applicable repair requirements. Your estimate should make clear which panels are included and why that approach is being proposed.

Paint work may extend beyond the reshaped area to complete the planned finish. Ask which surfaces need refinishing and whether trim, lamps or other parts must come off to provide access for the work.

Look at fit as well as appearance

Panel alignment matters around doors, hoods and wheel openings. Let us know about a new gap, wind noise or difficult latch rather than assuming it is unrelated to the dent you want repaired.

Bring any earlier estimate and identify old damage separately from the recent impact. This helps keep the discussion clear about the requested work, remaining inspection questions and any changes needed after the affected area is opened.

QUESTIONS ABOUT
BODY & FENDER REPAIRS.

Does a damaged fender always need replacement?

No. The decision depends on the material, severity, location and relevant repair requirements. An assessment lets us discuss whether repair is suitable for the panel on your vehicle.

Can you assess more than one damaged panel?

Yes. Point out every affected area when you arrange an estimate at Ballard or Lynnwood, including any door, hood or wheel clearance changes noticed after the impact.
