Before you leave
- Review the completed work and repair paperwork with the team.
- Ask about any balance, guarantee details and repair-specific follow-up.
- Identify the refinished areas and get their care instructions.
- Confirm the direct number to call if you have a question later.
- If you have a rental, confirm its return arrangements separately.
Ask about the finish on your vehicle
There is no single wash or wax deadline for every refinish product and drying process. Ask the shop to complete these details for your repair before treating a refinished area.
- When and how can I hand-wash the repaired areas?
- When are automatic washes or pressure washing suitable?
- When may I use wax, polish, a coating, a wrap or an adhesive accessory?
- How should I safely remove bird droppings, sap or other contamination?
Do not test solvents, abrasives or household cleaners on fresh paint. If you are unsure what is safe, call the shop first.
Keep the conversation open
Keep your repair paperwork and these instructions. Tell the branch that handled your repair about any concern you notice afterward. For a safety concern, stop using the vehicle when it is safe to do so and arrange appropriate help.
Our collision repairs are backed by a lifetime guarantee for as long as you own the vehicle. Ask the team about the coverage details for your particular repair.
