CUSTOM BODY & PAINT

A custom project starts with a clear conversation about the vehicle and the result you have in mind. Fleury's offers custom body and paint services at both shops, with scope and feasibility discussed before work is planned.

Bring a focused project brief

Useful starting points include the vehicle year and model, photos of its current condition and examples that show your preferred direction. Explain what you like about a reference instead of assuming every detail can be reproduced.

A change to one panel, a broader finish update and a project involving body alterations are different jobs. Tell us which areas matter most and which decisions are still open so we can assess a practical starting scope.

Assess the starting surface

The existing finish and bodywork affect what comes next. Peeling paint, corrosion, old filler or earlier repairs may require attention before a new finish is considered, even when those conditions are not the reason for your project.

Discuss whether the work includes visible outer surfaces only or areas such as edges and openings. The proposed boundaries, disassembly and preparation should be understood before color or appearance decisions become a final work plan.

Agree on details before work begins

Ask the shop to confirm whether your requested finish, part or modification is suitable for this vehicle and within the available project scope. Do that before ordering components based on an online photo or product listing.

A written scope should identify included areas, known condition issues and decisions still requiring approval. If further inspection changes what is feasible, the next step is a discussion of the revised work rather than an assumed substitution.

QUESTIONS ABOUT
CUSTOM BODY & PAINT.

Can I bring reference photos for a custom project?

Yes. Photos are useful for discussing the look you have in mind. The shop still needs to assess your vehicle and confirm which specific details or finishes can be included.

Should I buy custom parts before requesting an estimate?

Talk with the shop first. Part fit, condition and compatibility can affect the body and paint plan, and the proposed project should be reviewed before you commit to those purchases.
